EVAAS is the official association for European Aviation Security Validators
European Aviation Security Validators are accredited by aviation security regulatory authorities, to examine the security programme and to validate the implementation of aviation security measures of air carriers and other business entities involved in their cargo supply chain.
EVAAS works collaboratively with Member States, the European Commission, the UK CAA, Industry and other stakeholder entities and, with its members, aims to:
- Promote professionalism, consistency, effectiveness and, above all, quality in the area of air cargo security validations.
- Assist in identifying any shortcomings in the present air cargo security regulations and areas where loopholes and security risks exist; and
- Seek to apply lessons learned, and promote best practice where appropriate.
EVAAS is also seeking to expand its membership base to include business entities who are, or have applied to be, designated as ACC3, RA3 or KC3 under the EU’s and UK’s schemes. Membership benefits are still being developed, but on-line training is already available for these businesses.
